Consumer unit upgrade for an older semi-detached home

The original fuse box was decades old — a mix of rewireable fuses and no RCD protection at all, flagged as an immediate safety concern during a routine electrical inspection. We replaced it with a fully modern consumer unit fitted with RCBOs on every circuit, so a fault on one circuit no longer knocks out the whole house. Every circuit was tested and the work signed off with a full Electrical Installation Condition Report. The whole job was completed in a single day, with the power only off for the time it took to swap the unit over.
