BS 5839-1 recommends a professional inspection and service at least every 6 months. The Responsible Person should also test one manual call point every week, using a different one each time, and record it in the fire log book.
The Responsible Person under the Fire Safety Order 2005. That’s usually the employer, building owner, landlord or managing agent. You can hire us to do the testing, but the legal duty stays with you.
Yes, where the property has a fire alarm system, including in the common areas of HMOs and blocks of flats. Check your HMO licence conditions too, as many set how often the alarm must be serviced and certified.
An inspection and servicing certificate to BS 5839-1, recording what was tested and any faults found. Keep it in your fire log book. It’s the evidence insurers and fire safety officers ask to see.

Yes, the sounders are tested, so we agree a time with you in advance. If your alarm is monitored by an alarm receiving centre, tell us when you book so the centre can be told before we start.
We record them on the certificate and give you a fixed-price quote for the repairs. Nothing is done without your agreement.

Yes. Changes and cancellations are free up to 48 hours before your appointment, with a full refund. Within 48 hours, a minimum charge of £35 applies.
